Beg, Borrow, & Steal

Miguel celebrated his birthday at Big Al's on Airway on Saturday, August 2nd. BB&S members and other musicians jammed the blues for an evening of good driving music.  Miguel said, 

"Last night at Big Al’s I had one of the best birthdays I have ever had. Thanks to all who showed up:  Mike Cox and his wife, Mike played a great remote control keyboard, Dennis (Beodwulf)  who sat in for a couple, Kat Crosby and some of her band including John (Blues) , and John (Desperado)  the bass player who sat in at the beginning, Keith who did the sound at the last minute, and Oscar who brought his equipment and played lead at the last minute, Jorge, the youngest blues guitarist in El Paso also came in at the last minute, Manny and his singer from JaHma, Robert Ramirez, who played a great bass, Victor who sat in on the keyboard, Robert (Krimson), and Turncoat’s bass player, and all my family and other friends who went. A special thanks goes to Todd, who sang some good tunes, and another friend Paul M. who sat in on vocals. Also the lady who sent me that shot of something smooth, and Maribel who started the money tree. Apologies to Kurt who came to play bass and somehow I forgot about. I counted about 5 bass players there that night, and three keyboardists. Oh, what a night!"

Recently two former members of BB&S got together for a practice session to explore the possibility of re-forming and adding another member. The line up was Miguel on vocals/keyboards, Rich on Bass/Lead Guitar, Angel on Drums, and another guitar player, Oscar. Miguel, Rich, and Angel had not been together for eight months, so it turned out to be a reunion for them. The session went well and the music had an emphasis on the Blues.  At this time it is not known if the band will keep the BB&S name, but according to Miguel, he will keep the name alive and well. More practice sessions are planned, and time will tell what will happen next.

Beg, Borrow, & Steal is going over their material and picking out what they want to record. Some gigs are planned and will be posted later.
